On Thursday 16 July, over 70 PageGroup employees hit the streets of London on a mission to raise buckets of cash for its charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust. The enthusiastic fundraisers raised £6,000 in one day and even dropped by Good Morning Britain to say hello to presenters, Phillip Schofield, Amanda Holden, Lorraine Kelly and Kate Garraway. Since May 2015, PageGroup has been actively fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust, UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting young people with cancer aged 13-24. The two-year partnership aims to raise £200,000 to fund 8,000 hours of vital care and support via Teenage Cancer Trust’s Expert Care Programme. After an inspiring speech from the charity’s Corporate Account Manager, Stef Allen, PageGroup employees donning animal onsies and Teenage Cancer Trust t-shirts walked through the streets of London to raise awareness about supporting young people with cancer. The fundraising event was also supported by Just Giving pages, where friends, families and colleagues generously donated throughout the day. Lucy Ponder, Accounts Manager at Michael Page Finance, said: “Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every day so it’s important to spread the word on how Teenage Cancer Trust is providing vital care and support. I’m so pleased all PageGroup employees involved showed great enthusiasm, passion and energy to raise awareness and money. Visiting the sets of Good Morning Britain and Loose Women was a wonderful privilege, so thank you to ITV and all the presenters for being so welcoming and kind.”
